Dr. Wilkinson has a passion for dentistry! He has worked tirelessly to acquire the technical skills required to provide his patients with the healthy beautiful smiles they want and deserve.
A native of central Illinois, Dr. Wilkinson moved to Springfield after graduating from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 1998. He was drawn to the Ozarks because of his love for the outdoors and he and his family now truly call Missouri their home. In dental school he received multiple faculty awards and honors for outstanding proficiency in fixed prosthodontics (crown and bridgework) as well as recognition for "excellence, creativity and tenacity" in restorative dentistry. He is currently a member of several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Missouri Dental Association and the Greater Springfield Dental Society. Dr. Wilkinson has attended hundreds of additional hours of continuing education courses to remain on the cutting edge of dental techniques and technology. He is proud to be one of the only Lumineers-certified dentists in the Springfield area.
As a matter of practice philosophy, Dr. Wilkinson has always felt that people want to be able to relax when they come to the dentist. They want to discuss all of their options and make decisions knowing that they can trust their dentist and his staff to provide dental care that is functional, feels good, and looks great!
